Saturday, March 9 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Members of ParLUGment, Ottawa’s adult LEGO® users’ group, will display a wide range of their aviation- and space-themed LEGO® sets and unique LEGO® creations. An activity table will also be available to allow a range of ages to participate in some hands-on LEGO® building.
Once again, a fun event hosted by the Galeries Aylmer mall. Even with the cold weather, there were lots of visitors to the mall, and we received a lot of complements on our setup. Looking forward to same time next year!
ENDEMOL SHINE NORTH AMERICA AND TUESDAY’S CHILD BRINGING U.K. SMASH HIT “LEGO® MASTERS” TO U.S. WITH BRAD PITT’S PLAN B ENTERTAINMENT
Los Angeles, Ca.—Endemol Shine North America and U.K.-based independent production company Tuesday’s Child are teaming with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment to jointly produce a U.S. version of the hit British series “LEGO® MASTERS.”
The production companies are set to start conversations with potential American-based platforms later this month.
Originally created by Tuesday’s Child, “LEGO MASTERS” first launched on Channel 4 in the U.K. in 2017, quickly becoming the network’s highest-rated new series, nearly doubling its primetime average with young adults. Since then, “LEGO MASTERS” was renewed by Channel 4 and local versions of the successful format have begun launching around the world.
The Canadian Aviation and Space Museum invited us to show off our creations one Saturday in November, on the 17th.
Here is what the museum said to us after the show:
I just wanted to write and thank you and the member of ParLUGment so much for coming to the Museum on Saturday and displaying your wonderful Lego creations. We received a lot of positive feedback from the visitors and the Museum staff.
The members of ParLUGment have been one of the best group of people I have had here at the Museum for events. The amount of help offered and the respect they had for the Museum regulations was just amazing. I really enjoyed being with your group on Friday night and on Saturday.
We had an attendance of 813 people. This is about 200 more people then we had on the same Saturday last year.
This is a fun event conducted at public shopping mall displaying model trains, RC vehicles, scale models, games, and of course, our display of Lego MOCs and sets, usually involving an adhoc train layout.
