Over the Family Day weekend in February 2020, ParLUGment members joined LEGO® Master BrickmanGraeme for Winterlude 2020 from 10am-5pm on Saturday, Feb. 15 to Family Day, Monday, Feb. 17. Kids of all ages came to help build a wintery theme with Graeme and of course your favourite building blocks! Little did we know it would be our last public display for quite a while 🙁
A series of large (6 foot tall) letters spelling out B-W-A-R-D, with a large space between the B and W. Each of these letters was built of thousands of LEGO DUPLO pieces. People were invited to pose, becoming the “Y” in Byward.
The ‘play area’ with ‘snow and ice themed’ LEGO brick pieces (mostly white, with a good amount of transparent clear, transparent blue, and blue pieces). Kids and families helped build a giant “Winterlude Wonderland” throughout the weekend, culminating in the creation of a supersized LEGO winter scene.
